Bryan Zabell

Bryan Zabell is a real estate professional specializing in anchor and big-box leasing strategies for institutional and private ownership groups nationwide. With more than 25 years of experience, he has led national leasing platforms and executed high-impact leasing initiatives across public REIT and privately held portfolios.

Over the course of his career, Bryan has completed more than 500 anchor and junior anchor leases and facilitated hundreds of vacant big-box dispositions throughout the country. He is recognized for his expertise in national retailer relationships, large-format lease negotiations, and value-driven leasing strategies that enhance asset performance and long-term portfolio stability.

As Executive Vice President at Matthews™, Bryan focuses exclusively on leasing and strategic advisory services for large-format retail assets. His specialization includes anchor tenant leasing, backfilling vacant big-box space, redevelopment-driven leasing initiatives, and disciplined execution designed to maximize value for ownership.

Prior to joining Matthews™, Bryan served as senior managing director at Raider Hill Advisors, where he advised institutional ownership groups on leasing strategy and redevelopment opportunities. Earlier in his career, he spent 17 years at DDR Corp., a publicly traded REIT, leading national big-box leasing initiatives and holding multiple senior leadership roles within the company’s leasing platform.
