Charles Wright serves as Managing Director for Matthews™ and plays a key leadership role in shaping and scaling Matthews™ in Orange County. He focuses on driving strategic growth in Orange County, accelerating business development efforts, and guiding the implementation of company-wide initiatives. Charles works closely with agents to enhance operational efficiency, foster a culture of accountability, and deliver long-term production results. With a strong commitment to mentorship and performance, he ensures agents are equipped with the resources and guidance needed to excel. Charles’ leadership helps align local execution with broader vision of Matthews™, fueling the firm’s continued expansion and reinforcing its position as a top-performing force in the commercial real estate industry.

Charles has helped build and grow the business of 50+ agents in the office, teaching them the ins and outs of the industry. In 2022, the Orange County office was awarded the top producing Matthews’ office in the U.S.

Charles’ background is in the disposition and acquisition of multifamily properties, where he is apt for outworking the competition and giving every deal 110 percent. Throughout his career, Charles has completed 150+ transactions totaling over $500M. His unrelenting drive and determination to putting his clients’ needs first have helped Charles build an expansive network of clients, including private investors, institutions, developers, publicly-traded REITs, and some of the country’s largest apartment owners.
