Cory Rosenthal

With nearly 20 years of experience in the New York commercial real estate market, Cory Rosenthal serves as Executive Managing Director and National Director of Multifamily. Cory leads the strategic direction, growth, and performance of Matthews’ multifamily platform across the country. In this role, Cory oversees national initiatives, supports multifamily agents, and drives business development efforts that strengthen the firm’s position in the sector. He collaborates across departments and markets to implement forward-thinking strategies and ensures Matthews™ delivers best-in-class service to both institutional and private multifamily clients. With a sharp understanding of multifamily investment trends and a reputation for hands-on leadership, Cory plays a key role in expanding Matthews’ market share and influence nationwide.

Cory plays an instrumental role in building the firm’s presence in one of the country’s most competitive real estate markets. He successfully leads agent development and creates localized growth strategies. Known for his deep market knowledge and strong client relationships, Cory fosters a culture of performance and accountability within the New York office.

Cory has been directly involved in transactions, spanning all commercial real estate asset classes, totaling an aggregate consideration of approximately $700 million. Cory is a dynamic and visionary New York real estate industry leader with a strong commitment to mentorship and team building.

Prior to Matthews™, Cory stood as the chief revenue officer at B6 Real Estate Advisors. He was responsible for managing the firm’s sales team and its revenue pipeline. He played a key role in recruiting and contributing to B6’s technology-enabled platform to enhance the company’s growth. He also served as the chief operating officer of New York City Capital Markets at JLL from 2018 to 2022. During his tenure at JLL, he had operational oversight of the platform consisting of 100+ producers, analysts, and staff. Cory also served as a senior managing director in the Capital Markets Group at Cushman & Wakefield. In his role, he worked to identify and improve agent and business processes throughout the organization to increase profitability for the firm. Cory began his career at Massey Knakal Realty Services in 2003 and was promoted in 2010 to vice president of executive operations. In this role, Cory undertook operational responsibilities related to the CEO’s office as well as maintaining departmental oversight of the firm’s various divisions and salesforce. He received another promotion in 2013 to senior vice president of brokerage & corporate operations where he oversaw sales team management and maintained operational responsibilities related to the growth of the organization – including leading the firm’s training program.
