Duerk Brewer

Duerk Brewer is a seasoned professional in the commercial real estate industry, currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Matthews Real Estate Investment Services™. With more than 20 years of experience in the field, Duerk has a proven track record of driving growth and building high-performance teams. In his role, he is responsible for the company’s operations and support services, including marketing, transaction support, recruiting, events, underwriting support, office management, and its award-winning training program. Since joining the company in 2019, Duerk has overseen the hiring of over 300 employees and agents.  As COO, Duerk was the driving force behind the creation of the company’s National Operations Center in Scottsdale, which provides a shared services support platform to commercial real estate agents and clients across the country.

Duerk’s career in commercial real estate began at Hendricks & Partners, where he started in operations and eventually became a managing partner. He played a pivotal role in the company’s growth from a small start-up to a leading nationwide platform prior to its purchase by Berkshire Hathaway & Jefferies Financial Group-backed Berkadia. After the acquisition, he joined Berkadia as Vice President, where he successfully integrated and developed investment sales and mortgage banking transaction support, technology, and marketing platforms.

Prior to joining Matthews Real Estate Investment Services™, Duerk served as COO at Greysteel, where he earned numerous accolades, including being named one of the “50 under 40” and “Best Bosses in Commercial Real Estate” by Real Estate Forum.
