Marcelo Rodriguez is a commercial real estate professional at Matthews™, specializing in the acquisition and disposition of industrial assets. With nearly two decades of experience spanning the U.S. and Latin American markets, Marcelo brings a sharp analytical lens and a global investment perspective to every transaction. His deep expertise in underwriting, due diligence, market analysis, and strategic capital deployment positions him as a trusted advisor to both institutional and private clients.
Prior to joining Matthews™, Marcelo served as an investment advisor at Cimarron in Houston, where he guided real estate funds and developers through complex industrial, office, and value-add investments. Before Cimarron, Marcelo worked as a valuation specialist at Colliers International in Austin, where he appraised over $4 billion in industrial, office, retail, and land properties.
Earlier in his career, Marcelo held senior investment roles in Latin America, including director of investments at Terranum, Colombia’s largest real estate fund, where he oversaw more than $350 million in strategic investments. He also advised developers and funds at Andean IM and began his institutional real estate career at Hines, supporting acquisitions and portfolio management for a $7.8 billion Hines REIT portfolio.
