Matthews™ professionals, Lori Valencia and Julia Leonard, have been named 2022 Women to Watch Nominees by the Los Angeles Business Journal. Recognized in the publication’s annual Women in Leadership Awards, Lori and Julia were nominated for their outstanding achievements in business, influence on their companies and industries, and tenacity in the workforce.

 

Over the past three years, Lori has risen in leadership ranks substantially within Matthews™ and in recognition throughout the industry, receiving honors from top business and CRE outlets. She was promoted to Director of Marketing after two years as Marketing Manager and was added to the Executive Board in 2021 and named as Vice President of Marketing. Her outstanding leadership has pushed her career to new heights year after year, as she continuously challenges the status quo.

 

As a woman in a male-dominated field, Julia has found her voice and made a conscious effort to be at the forefront of all operations and transactional initiatives to ensure Matthews™ is propelling its technology and tools forward. Given her entrepreneurial mindset and triumphs, Julia has risen in the ranks quickly at Matthews™. Joining the firm from CBRE, Julia started at Matthews™ as a Senior Sales Operations Associate. In three years, she has been promoted to Sales Operations Manager and now the Director of Sales Operations.
