
TRENTON, NJ— Matthews™, a commercial real estate investment services and technology firm, completed the $7,100,000 sale of Campus Eye Group, located at 1700 Whitehouse Hamilton Square Road in Trenton, New Jersey. Matthews™ Senior Vice President & Senior Directors Rahul Chhajed and Michael Moreno, and Associate Vice President Josh Cordray represented the seller in the transaction.
Originally developed in the 1980s by the seller, the property served as the longtime home of Campus Eye Group, a well-established ophthalmology practice and ambulatory surgery center operating there for more than 40 years. The ±16,751 SF facility has long served as a destination for specialized eye care in the Trenton area, with a buildout designed to support both clinical services and outpatient procedures.
The seller brought the property to market following the sale of the practice and secured a NNN lease with the tenant, positioning the asset as a passive, management-free investment. Matthews™ sourced a privately held overseas buyer with an existing U.S. medical real estate portfolio, who was drawn to the long-term lease structure and intends to keep the asset as a buy-and-hold investment.
